Welcome to St. Andrew’s
You are welcome here.
We do not need to hear your credentials.
You are welcome because you are a child of God.
You are welcome here.
You do not need to apologize for your shortcomings.
Here you will receive the same grace that allows the rest of us to come into God’s presence.
Here, you will be embraced and accepted —
not only for what you are,
but for what you are becoming.
You are welcome here.
Come Worship with Us
At St. Andrew’s, you will find a progressive, inclusive community of faith.
Come to one of our worship services — Sundays at 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. — and be sure to pick up a Visitor’s Packet on your way in. They’re to the left as you enter the main doors.
Find us at 14311 Wells Port at Wells Branch Parkway in North Austin.
About Our Services
Here are a few things you might want to know:
- Because we believe in universal equality, we use inclusive, egalitarian language, and encourage its use elsewhere.
- You might notice that everyone who participates in worship, whether clergy or laity, wears a colored stole. These stoles represent one of the main tenets of the Presbyterian Church, the priesthood of all believers. In other words, our stoles are a sign that all of us are ministers of God’s Word.
- In each of our worship services, we pass baskets to collect the gifts and pledges brought by our members and friends. As our guest, please don’t feel obligated to contribute. We encourage you to get to know us and our mission to make sure you are comfortable supporting what we do.
Children Are Welcome, Too!
Whether you come to our early service or our 10:45 a.m. service, be sure to bring your children with you. We have activities appropriate for all ages.
- If you have a restless infant, we have a “cry room” just off the sanctuary. It’s wired for so you can still hear the services while you tend to your child’s needs. Any one of our ushers will gladly show you the way.
- For preschoolers, we offer nursery care during the worship service.
- Children ages 4 through 10 can come with you to the regular service. Just before the sermon, we call all the children forward for a Scripturally based lesson from the St. Andrew’s Puppets. Then they leave for Children’s Church and return in time to lead us in the closing.
- Older youth may stay for regular worship or help with Children’s Church.
During Sunday School, we offer Godly Play and other age-appropriate lessons for children, too.
Stay and Visit!
Let's get to know each other better. We always have refreshments to share following the 10:45 service.
Above all, remember: You are welcome here.
